Shoe shopping went great!! Love stride rite. We walked away with two new pairs of shoes with minimal drama. The only drama being, Ava wanting ever pair of shoes in the store and trying to convince me on why she needs them. Really?!?! She's only four!! I was sure this wouldn't start for a few more years. But for all you moms out there, for a few more days stride rite has buy one get one 50% off.
Ava's first day at Spartanburg Day School came and went. Everything went smoothly. I was bit worried, on both Ava and I being able to get up that early in the morning to make it to school by 8am. But to my surprise we did it. I always wondered, if it was the parents fault the child was late for school would the parent get the tardy and not the child. Living on four hours of sleep these days, it's easy to sleep through the alarm clock; not to mention my family is nocturnal and not morning people. We all must have been cats in a previous life.
Ava loves loves loves her teacher Miss Kim. We requested her when enrolling Ava because she artsy and Ava loves anything to do with that subject. Ava gets a kick out of the bath tub that is painted with polka dots in her classroom. No tears yesterday from Ava or I when dropping her off. Ava was full of excitement and well for me, I think my sleep deprivation has something to do with it.
As my hubby tucked Ava into bed last night and they were discussing her day at school Ava said how excited she was to go back tomorrow. I pray this enthusiasm continues throughout high school.
